چکیده
Sarcoid is one of the most common skin tumours, which diagnosed in various breeds horses at any age regardless animal’s sex. Such fibroblastic neoplasm manifests itself several clinical ways with its specific morphological features. As a rule, it metastasizes rarely but can be locally invasive. The disease’setiology multifactorial and includes confirmed role bovine papillomavirus genetic environmental factors. article introduces results retrospective study Ukrainian riding breed sarcoid type, was localized mainly area external thoracic vein. Neoplasms were represented by two types. first included broad base neoplasms without pronounced pedicle signs hyperkeratosis. Massive rounded dense formations an ulcerated surface refer to second type. To verify studied types sarcoid, wide surgical excision lesion’svisible parts performed, followed selection fragments for pathohistological diagnosis. Also, additional staining methods used detect connective muscle tissue (Van Gieson’s staining) elastic fibers (Weigert’s resorcin-fuchsin staining). Microscopically, visible showed hyperkeratosis acanthosis peritumoral epidermal layer. Epidermis desquamation significant amount oxyphilic detritus, diapedesis hemorrhages, dilated vessels also detected some areas. Chaotic placement fibroblasts fibrocytes noted, greater extent, subdermally. Anisocytosis anisokaryosis expressed moderately. Sarcoids, macroscopically presented form massive surface, histologically characterized replacement epidermis cellular elements, subdermal characteristic perpendicular orientation coarse collagen towards basement membrane. Closely spaced spindle-shaped cells forming moiré structures visualized deep dermis layers. Nuclei hyperchromic elongated shape, no atypical mitoses noted. Pathohistological examination during identification type diagnostic purposes cause rapid growth formation ulcer. final diagnosis regarding equine made based on combination signs, histopathological examination, molecular testing isolation BPV DNA.

15 صفحه اولHistological features of meniscal injury
Background: Meniscus tissue is highly susceptible to injury and tears. As these are intrasynovial and lack cellularity, their healing potential is less. Any knowledge to the factors affecting the meniscal healing can help surgeons in treating meniscal injuries. Hypothesis: Patient age is a predictor of the healing of meniscus tissue. Study Design: Prospective study. Methods: Gross and histologi...
متن کاملEsophageal Dysfunction in Friesian Horses: Morphological Features.
Megaesophagus appears to be more common in Friesian horses than in other breeds. A prevalence of approximately 2% was observed among Friesian horses presented to the Wolvega Equine Clinic and the Utrecht University Equine Clinic. In this study, morphologic changes in the esophagi of Friesian horses with megaesophagus were compared with those of 6 control horses. Of 18 horses with clinically obs...
متن کاملA Schwannoma of the Soft Palate in a Child: Histological and Immunohistochemical Features and Surgical Method
Introduction: Schwannoma, or neurilemmoma, is a benign neoplasm of Schwann cells that is extremely rare in the soft palate. Herein we present a case of a soft palate schwannoma presenting with an ulcerated surface and purplish colour in a 12 year-old girl. This report also introduces a successful surgical technique for coverage of the defect left by surgery.
متن کاملChronic sarcoid synovitis in the Caucasian: an arthroscopic and histological study.
Chronic synovitis is a rare complication of sarcoidosis, virtually confined to the black population. Synovial histology may be nonspecific or show typical sarcoid granulomata. We report 2 cases of chronic sarcoid synovitis in Caucasians. Histology showed typical granulomata in one patient, whose distinctive arthroscopic appearance is discussed.
